NGORONGORO HEMIGWAYS MOBILE CAMP
LOCATION: Ngorongoro
Crater Situated 190 kilometres west of Arusha, in a
stunning location on the rim of the crater lies our
mobile tented camp site.
ACCOMMODATION AND FACILTIES:
The private tented safari is the traditional, time honoured
way to enjoy the African wilderness, reminiscent of
the halcyon safari days of the ‘Out of Africa’
era. One of the most exhilarating aspects of a private
tented safari is the sense of freedom it offers. Because
your camp is mobile and self-sufficient, you enjoy total
privacy on a private concession in some of Africa’s
most game rich areas. Meals can be tailored to your
tastes and timed to your mood. Private safari tents
are heavy, sturdy, and huge: double fly, 28 feet long,
14 feet wide, and 9 feet high. Each has an open-sided
front verandah furnished with tables and camp chairs.
Inside you will find two full-sized single beds (or,
by prior special request, a double bed), designed to
our own specifications, with warm blankets and crisp
white sheets (hot water bottles are available for especially
chilly nights). Each tent has its own private en suite
facilities including flush toilet and shower. Hot water
is available throughout the day and evening for a refreshing
wash, shower or shave. The essential experience remains
the same: exciting, romantic, exclusive and personally
fulfilling as no other trip to Africa can be.
