Kenya has some beautiful beaches. Imagine
brilliant blue water lapping against fine white
sands, where you can stretch and chill out. Kenya
Beaches are lined with protective coral
reefs, creating ideal waters for swimming and
water sports. Kenya’s beaches and islands are
somewhat of a mixed bunch. The coastline of Kenya
is a tropical idyll of soft white sands and gentle
sea breeze, where the passing of a day is marked
by the slow arc of the sun.
The majority of tourists to Kenya visit Mombasa
and the beaches around the city solely due to
Kenya’s mass tourism approach. Both Malindi and
Watamu are popular tourist resorts and have marine
reserves and stunning beaches. Lamu Island is an
enchanting place and worth a visit. Just north of
Lamu is Kiwayu Island which has the reputation of
being the beach and water sports retreat of the
rich and famous.
 |
If you travel slightly further
north you reach Watamu which has the likes of
Hemingways as good options for beach breaks away
from the chaos of Mombasa.
The beaches of the south, including Diani Beach,
are renowned for their palm-fringed white sands
and great coral reefs. The diving - in particular
at Kisite Marine Reserve - is considered the best
in the south, with many wrecks to entice
underwater enthusiasts.
For holiday makers on a beach safari in Mombasa,
you can spice up your Kenya beach holiday with a
short safari to the near by Tsavo East and West or
Amboseli National Parks, The Shimba Hills National
Reserve, Taita Hills Conservancy or take a Mombasa
city tour as an add on to your Kenya
beach holiday.
We offers truly wonderful Africa Beach
Safaris with plenty of water sports,
beach sports, scuba diving, wind surfing and deep
sea fishing. Big game fishing is alo available and
you should find out when the fishing season is on
in the various places.
