Baloon safari in Masai Mara
Set in the heart of Africa's Great Plains in Kenya, the Masai Mara boasts 1,672 sq. kilometers of unspoilt wilderness. It offers the best game and bird-viewing not only in Kenya, but anywhere in Africa. The views across the rolling golden grasslands studded with acacia trees, rivers and forests are dazzling, the sense of space overwhelming. Throughout the year the Masai Mara is a place of natural drama. Most stunning of all are the months between July and October, when the savannah teems with animals during the Great Wildebeest Migration.
Hot air balloon flights take
place in scenic beauty of Maasai Mara. A gentle
ascent takes you well above tree-top level and the
whispering light breeze soothes the hearts as you
enjoy a panoramic view of wildlife drama unequaled
anywhere in the whole wide world. Thrilling drama
of nature's battle of predators verses the preys,
that is constantly displayed in the savanna
grassland from time immemorial.

The feeling is indescribable, crispness of the
African air, chill in the wind that hits your face
as your Mara hot air balloon gradually raises,
smoothness in the exhale of your breath, and the
excitement to see and learn more. One's physical
presence can be felt on the plains of the Masai
Mara when reading this.
Your trip begins when you get
your wake up call at your safari lodge or tented
camp in the early hours of the morning, as you
yawn away, and thoughts about your wildlife
viewing from an elevated position begins to stir
your mind. The fresh Kenyan traditional hot tea
and coffee quickly awaken you, in fact preparing
you for a "mission".

You'll be waken up before dawn
and driven over the veldt at night through the
great activity of the predawn hunts. At sunrise,
you'll board a beautiful gondola (hot air balloon)
and start rising over the great herds of the Mara
silently into the sky. The ride lasts about an
hour, traveling with the gentle western winds. Few
animals look up, so you have a remarkable
opportunity to get close and watch the animals
without disturbing them.
By 7.20 a.m., one is very content with balloon
safari and a lot has been seen, and it is almost
touch down time. There is a celebration, and for
those who prefer a toast, champagne is served, as
hot breakfast in the bush is being prepared. As
the sweetness and aroma of the African coffee
surrounds you, with fresh eggs being served as you
like it, you hope for another ride, and wish that
such luxury never ended.
The balloon lands where
fate places it and track vehicles immediately set
out a beautiful champagne breakfast at that very
spot where the balloon lands and you enjoy the
luxury of the early explorers as uniformed waiters
serve you an elegant meal. Afterwards, we take a
game drive back to the camp for lunch.
By 9.00 a.m., you have been
declared a champion, a mighty certificate of
completion handed out to you which you hope to
display in your home country, to family, friends
or coworkers. Clapping and participation by
everyone present makes you proud to have achieved
a trip as wonderful as this.
Later at 4:15pm you will take a
flight back to Nairobi to arrive at 5:45pm where
you will be met by our representative at Wilson
airport and be transferred to the carnivore
restaurant after this co memorable dinner, you'll
be escorted to the Jomo Kenyatta Airport for a
flight back home
Remember to put on
practical clothes, preferably cotton, a sweater
will shield you against sometimes windy flights.
Sturdy shoes are necessary. Sunglasses and camera
to catch the real drama will come in handy.Hot Air
